This summary is for convenience only. The full agreement below controls.
1. Client homework agreement
In all private sessions, we will assign you homework at the end of each session. For best results in training your dog, this homework should be practiced for at least 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes at night, 7 days a week. Dogs and humans learn alike, through repetition, and you as the handler are responsible for providing that repetition. Your dog will not be successfully trained by simply attending a session once a week. The main focus of our sessions is to teach you the exercises you need and how to train your dog.
At the start of each session, you will be asked to “turn in your homework” by demonstrating what you were assigned the previous week. If we determine that your homework has been successfully executed, you and your dog may move forward in the program. Because each week’s new exercises depend on the prior week’s homework, you will not be able to move forward if homework was not done adequately. Not dedicating the recommended time to training your dog will hinder successful completion of the program.
2. Motivation
To succeed in our program, your dog must be motivated. Our training is based on food, treats, and positive reinforcement, so it is your responsibility to make sure your dog is hungry before each session. If your dog is not hungry at the time of a session, we will be extremely limited in moving forward with new exercises. In that case, you will be required to either (a) forfeit the session, or (b) pay for a makeup session.
3. Class policy
Video recordings, including cell phone videos, and photos taken during sessions may not be used without prior authorization from Florida’s Finest K9. Everyone attending an in-person session must be dressed appropriately, including closed-heel shoes. Flip-flops, sandals, high heels, or any other shoes that may hinder mobility while training are not permitted.
4. Multiple handlers
We allow one or more handlers or owners to train one dog, but each handler must retain the skills and methods needed to perform that week’s homework, along with all previous weeks’ homework. If you, the primary handler, choose to have a secondary handler or substitute, it is your responsibility to make sure that person has the proper techniques to complete the prior week’s homework. If you miss a session, it is your responsibility to learn from your substitute what was taught and be able to successfully perform the homework at the following session. Because of the limited time in each session, we will not be able to re-teach a previous session to a substitute handler.
5. Late, missed, and rescheduled sessions
We know life happens, and we are normally flexible about rescheduling. A simple text, call, or email helps. Please give us at least 24 hours’ notice before your scheduled session if you need to reschedule.
If you cancel a session with less than 24 hours’ notice, you will be charged for that session before the start of your next session, at a prorated amount based on the full program price. In the rare case of a no call, no show, you will likewise be charged for that session before the start of your next session, at a prorated amount based on the full program price.
All paid sessions must be completed within the following time frames from the date this agreement begins, or the remaining sessions will be forfeited: single program packages within 90 days, two-program packages within 180 days, and three-program packages within 210 days.
6. Our training program guarantee
We stand behind our training. If (a) you have invested the recommended time working and training your dog in the manner we instructed, and (b) Florida’s Finest K9 determines that your specific dog will not and cannot be trained with our program because of congenital reasons, you will receive a full refund of all money paid for your programs.
7. Refund and payment modification policy
All program and demonstration fees are paid before training begins. There is no full or partial refund for early cancellation before all paid sessions are completed. By enrolling and paying program fees, you are committing to a minimum of eight training sessions. Refunds or payment modifications are determined at the sole discretion of Florida’s Finest K9.
If the dog or the owner or handler becomes temporarily ill or injured and is unable to continue training, sessions may be made up once training can continue. In the rare and unfortunate event of the death of the dog or the owner or handler, all unused sessions that were paid for will be refunded.
8. Liability
If your dog causes damage to property, or bites or injures any other dog, animal, or person (including but not limited to the trainer and the trainer’s agents), during or after the term of this agreement, you agree to pay all resulting losses and damages. You also agree to defend and indemnify Florida’s Finest K9 and its trainers. Florida’s Finest K9 will not be held liable for any injuries sustained by the handler, trainer, or dog under any circumstance. You release Florida’s Finest K9 from any and all liability that may arise from or relate to our training program, inside and outside of sessions, except for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
9. Termination
At the sole election of Florida’s Finest K9, our duties under this agreement end if (a) the trainer determines, in the trainer’s sole judgment, that your dog is dangerous or vicious to the trainer or to any other person or animal, or (b) you breach any term, condition, or policy of this agreement. Upon such termination, the trainer’s duties end, but all other provisions of this agreement remain in full force and effect. No refunds will be given in these circumstances.

This agreement constitutes an agreement regarding non-compete, confidential and proprietary information, and trade secrets (“confidential information”) relating to the business of Florida’s Finest K9 Obedience Training LLC, located in Jupiter, Florida 33478. 11. Agreement to hold harmless, waiver, and assumption of risk
I understand that attending dog obedience training is not without risk to myself, members of my family, guests who may attend, or my dog, because some dogs I may be exposed to may be difficult to control and may cause injury even when handled with the greatest care. I waive and release Florida’s Finest K9 Obedience Training (the “Training Organization”), its employees, officers, members, and agents from any and all liability of any nature for injury or damage that I or my dog may suffer, including specifically, but without limitation, any injury or damage resulting from the action of any dog. I expressly assume the risk of such damage or injury while attending any training session or other function of the Training Organization, or while on the training grounds or surrounding areas.
In consideration of the Training Organization accepting me as a client, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Training Organization, its employees, officers, members, and agents from any and all claims, including claims by any member of my family or any other person accompanying me to any training session or function, or while on the grounds or surrounding areas, as a result of any action by any dog, including my own.

13. Fees and costs
In any litigation, mediation, arbitration, or dispute arising out of this agreement, the prevailing party is entitled to recover its costs and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs at any pre-trial, trial, appellate, post-judgment, collection, bankruptcy, mediation, or arbitration proceeding, whether or not suit is brought.
14. Severability
If any term of this agreement is determined by the appropriate judicial authority to be illegal or otherwise invalid, that term shall be given its nearest legal meaning or be construed as deleted, as that authority determines, and the rest of this agreement remains in full force and effect.
15. Authorization of use of media
You grant Florida’s Finest K9 LLC, its representatives, and assigns the unrestricted, perpetual, worldwide right to capture, use, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, and modify any photographs, videos, audio recordings, or other media created or shared in connection with the services provided under this agreement. You may revoke this authorization at any time by giving written notice to Florida’s Finest K9.
16. Ongoing agreement
This agreement applies to all current and future paid training sessions, packages, or programs you purchase from Florida’s Finest K9, unless a new agreement is mutually signed. By continuing to enroll in and pay for additional training services, you agree to the terms of this agreement. This keeps service expectations, policies, and liability terms consistent across all training.
17. Statement of ownership and consent
You are the owner of the dog being trained and have full authority to consent to the services of Florida’s Finest K9. This agreement is the entire understanding between you and Florida’s Finest K9 regarding its subject matter and supersedes all prior negotiations, warranties, or agreements, written or oral. This agreement may only be amended by a written instrument signed by both the client and the trainer.
18. Electronic acceptance
When you enroll online, checking the agreement box and typing your full name at checkout is your electronic signature. It has the same effect as signing and initialing each section of a printed copy of this agreement. We keep a record of your acceptance, including the date, time, and agreement version.
